Office XP Training

For the 6th summer in a row, NACS offers Microsoft Office hands-on training workshops designed to help computer users become familiar with, or brush up on the various computer applications commonly used at UCI.

Beginning August 1st, this summer’s line-up includes 4 levels of Access, 3 levels of Excel, 3 levels of Word, and 2 levels of PowerPoint.

Morning or afternoon classes are $79 (departmental recharge required) and will be conducted in various locations around campus including the Humanities, Social Sciences, Engineering, and Physical Sciences areas.

For course objectives and registration, log into the TED system (Training and Employee Development) with your UCInetID and click on the Catalog and Enrollment tab. Then type “Microsoft Office” in the keyword box.

MS Office XP Training

Brush up on your office skills this summer. NACS offers Office XP hands-on training beginning July 30th. NACS’s Mobile Computer Lab, comprising 16 notebook computers with wireless network connections will be set up in Social Science Tower, SST 122. For course outlines and registration, see http://www.nacs.uci.edu/training. Classes are $75 for a half day workshop and a departmental recharge number is required to register.

Microsoft Office Training

NACS recently hosted 3 weeks of task-based, hands-on training on Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Access.

This annual offering serves dozens of staff and faculty throughout UCI. Morning or afternoon classes are $79 (departmental recharge required) and are conducted using the Mobile Laptop Training Lab in conjunction with the UCI wireless network in the Engineering Gateway Building and other locations on campus.

MS Office XP Training

NACS’s Mobile Computer Lab, comprising 16 notebook computers with wireless network connections travel to various rooms for these workshops. For course outlines and registration, see http://www.nacs.uci.edu/training. Classes are between $50 and $90, depending whether the course is a full or half day and a departmental recharge number is required to register.

Microsoft Office Classes

Network and Academic Computing Services is once again offering the popular summer half-day classes for Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, starting August 10th. These short classes are an effective way to build skills with minimal impact on your budget or your schedule.

This is the ideal time for staff training, in preparation for the coming school year. Moreover, parking is easier to find in summer months for those whose departments are particularly distant.
